Homemade Shea Butter Soap

Combine a melt-and-pour soap base with melted shea butter at a 10% superfat ratio. Melt the base, stir in shea butter, fragrance oil, and optional botanicals, then pour into molds. Allow 24 hours to harden before unmolding. Cure for one week before use for the best bar.
Why Make Your Own Shea Butter Soap
Commercial shea butter soap products typically contain 20-40 ingredients, many of which are synthetic preservatives, fragrances, and fillers. Making your own with raw shea butter as the base gives you complete control over what goes on your skin.
Homemade shea butter soap using unrefined shea butter is not only more natural — it is often more effective. The high concentration of vitamins A, E, and F plus essential fatty acids in raw shea butter provides therapeutic benefits that diluted commercial formulas cannot match. Plus, a single batch costs a fraction of premium store-bought alternatives.
